Experience the majesty of Amboseli National Park, Kenya.

1 Day

Amboseli National Park is one of the oldest national parks in Kenya and one of the smallest at only 392 square km (for comparison, Tsavo National Park is over 22,000 square km). Amboseli is a very endearing place due to its unique location at the foot of Kilimanjaro, whose peak with eternal snows culminates at 5,891 meters and forms an extraordinary natural setting.

The park is composed of sandy expanses and Tortilis acacia woods and changes appearance according to the seasons. When it is very hot and dry, it is not uncommon to see immense expanses of water that are only mirages. Amboseli’s main attraction is its elephant population, but also many mammals: Burchel’s zebras, Grant’s gazelles, Thomson’s gazelles, wildebeests, impalas, gerenuks, giraffes, hippos and felines.

The marshes fed by Kilimanjaro never dry out and are home to large colonies of birds: jacanas, spoonbills, flamingos, cormorants, pelicans, storks, Goliath herons, grey and white herons, etc.
